Proper eye care begins with Annual Eye Examinations. This is the best way to maintain your family’s eye health and correct any visual disorders. Serious eye diseases and conditions such as Glaucoma, Cataracts and Macular Degeneration may be discovered earlier with regular eye examinations.

Our practice is equipped with a Laser Scanning OCT for diagnosing Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, and Diabetic Eye Disease. These advances in eye care technology help us provide you with state of the art evaluations for the most advanced eye examinations available.

It is recommended by the American Optometric Association that children have their first eye examination with an optometrist by age three, and annual eye examinations thereafter. This will assure the best possible vision and normal eye development. Since 80% of learning comes through the eyes, reading and schoolwork is affected by any uncorrected vision disorders. Many vision problems such as Amblyopia (“Lazy Eye”) or focusing disorders, as well as other visual conditions not detectable in “Vision Screenings” can be found during the annual optometric eye examination. Parents should think of the pediatric eye examination with their optometrist as a “well check-up” if they don’t suspect any problems. Call 413-283-2946
